Frequently Asked Questions about IFRI Certificate Program
I see on the website that the Course Dates for IFRI Certificate Program are March to July/ July to November/ November to March. What does this mean?
This is an ideal timeline for finishing all e-Learning modules. If you pace yourself appropriately, you should have sufficient time to finish the e-Learning coursework before the assessment window begins.
What happens during the assessment window?
The assessment is made available over the course of 5 days (120-hour window) beginning at 12:01am (CST, Central Time-USA Chicago) on the start date listed on the website. It will end at 11:59pm (CST, Central Time-USA Chicago) on the end date listed on the website. Within those 5 days, you will have 96 hours to complete the assessment from the moment the assessment files are downloaded.
I started the IFRI Certificate Program, but I was not able to take the assessment in the assessment window I registered for. Can I take the assessment at a later date?
It is strongly advised that the participants pace their study to finish all the e-Learning modules before the assessment window starts. Participants who wish to defer their assessment to the next available date will need to pay a retake fee. Assessments are offered three times a year in March, July, and November.
I started working on the Certificate but have not completed all e-Learning modules. I cannot get to them anymore. How can I gain my access back?
E-Learning modules are available to participants for a period of 18 months from the date of purchase. If it has been more than 18 months, your access has ended. You need to repurchase the program to continue. Please register on the website for the current IFRI Certificate Program.
Are there any discounts for employees from the same company?
The Certificate has been discounted, and one lower price is available to all. This discount is higher than the previous discount one could get with a company rate.
Are there any discounts for those residing outside of the US and Canada?
The Certificate has been discounted, and one lower price is available to all. The current price is much lower than the previous price (10% discount for registrants who reside in eligible countries).
Questions about earlier version of the IFRI Certificate program (Before November 2025)
I purchased IFRI e-Learning Modules Only when they were available and completed them. I would like to take a final assessment to obtain a certificate. How can I do that?
You can purchase a seat for an assessment within 1 calendar year of purchasing the e-Learning modules. E-mail certificates@soa.org to start the process.
