On-Campus Testing

The new SOA On-Campus Testing program expands access to actuarial education and assessment by bringing the Financial Mathematics (FM) exam directly to students at university campuses worldwide. The program launch is planned for spring 2027 at interested U.S. and international institutions that are members of the SOA’s Universities and Colleges with Actuarial Programs (UCAP) recognition list.  Successful students will be eligible for FM exam credit toward the Associate of the SOA (ASA) designation.

The SOA will seek feedback from universities via a survey in January 2026, which will help shape program details.

The University-Earned Credit (UEC) program will continue, and UEC universities may choose to offer On-Campus Testing for the FM exam if they prefer.
